I am an architect. I started to learn 3d softwares several years ago, what I mean by 3d is computer related softwares from simple 2d paintings to advanced 3d . first I started with Archicad for my architectural projects, and a year after that I tried to integrate 3ds max also, you know, mostly for architectural visualization (still images more than walk-troughs or fly-throughs), because it makes it easier for me specially in modeling and rendering process, by the time I heard about V-ray and its powerful GI solution,I tried to use it instead of mental ray. Still I use archicad the most for modeling Archvis projects. few years ago,before graduating I started to learn other 3d softwares such as Maya, Zbrush, Vue, Mudbox, Matchmover, Boujou, After effects, Nuke, Softimage, Motion builder, Endorphin and a few more; mainly for the animation purposes.
